After early qualification as a Chartered Accountant with a small city firm, Eric joined KPMG and worked with them for a few years prior to joining Keelings. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and manages a wide portfolio of clients, personal and business, specialising in owner managed businesses, charities and medical practitioners.
Eric has a wealth of experience and expertise in personal and corporate tax, specialising in advising high net worth individuals with their tax affairs. His tax knowledge is legendary and, on 5th April 2017, he was awarded with his 50 years’ membership certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Eric is an excellent communicator and has vast experience in brokering deals for clients. He also is highly skilled in dealing with tax investigations and, along with his tax knowledge, forms a formidable opponent to HMRC.
Eric enjoys spending time with his family and you can find him most mornings out jogging in his home town of Welwyn. Eric’s only fault is that he is a devoted supporter of Spurs!
Chris joined the Practice from school in 1968 - before VAT was introduced and after income tax rates of 108% had been abolished. He qualified as an accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1976 and became a partner in 1982.
Chris has a large and widespread client portfolio of sole trader partnerships and limited companies of all sizes. Chris enjoys working closely with his clients to achieve their expectations.
Chris lives in Broxbourne with his secretary (!) and has three children who all live in Hertfordshire. He is a huge Arsenal fan and shares a great deal of banter with his Tottenham supporting fans!
Rekhon is a general practitioner who joined Keelings in 1996. By 1998 he was a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. Rekhon has vast experience in managing audit and accounts assignments of varying sizes in a number of sectors, which include AIM companies, charities, non-listed SMEs and housing associations.
Dom was educated at Hitchin Boys’ School before taking his degree with Montfort University obtaining both a Business and Law degree. Following his degrees, Dom joined Jones Hunt in 2004 and trained under Michael Jones as a chartered certified accountant and later as a chartered tax adviser.
In 2013, Dom was promoted as a Partner of Jones Hunt and become a co-owner in the Practice. In October 2015, Jones Hunt joined forces with Keelings and Dom is now co director and co-owner of Keelings Jones Hunt.
Dom has over 15 years’ experience, having worked with companies of all sizes from many business sectors. Dom has an extensive client portfolio ranging from sole trader partnerships, owner managed business doctors, larger international companies including PLCs, specialising in taxation, tax planning and company reorganisations.
Alongside his fellow director Eric Pritchard, Dom brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, looking after high net worth clients advising them on income tax, capital gains, inheritance tax and tax efficient corporate profit extraction strategies, tax planning and corporate restructuring.
Dom has a vast experience in business growth, buying and selling companies and exit strategy planning, which enables him to see business through the eyes of an entrepreneur, providing commercial and practical advice.
Dom is a fanatical motor racing fan enjoying Formula One and every race weekend he is cheering on his beloved Ferrari team, be it Sebastian Vettel or Kimi Räikkönen.
Tom graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a degree in Business Economics and Accounting before joining Keelings where he trained for his professional qualification. In 2013, he gained his ACCA membership and, four years later, he was appointed as a Director. Tom has been with Keelings since 2009, and has established longstanding relationships with many clients during this time. With an outgoing personality, Tom effortlessly ensures that new clients feel at ease, with his vast knowledge and experience, ranging from owner-managed businesses to charities and the not for profit sector, assisting them in meeting their regulatory responsibilities, be it accountancy, taxation or audit. During his personal time, Tom likes to spend time with his family and friends, enjoys football as a supporter of Portsmouth FC and plays weekly 5-a-side football.
Alf del Basso
Alf manages the Practice, with the responsibility for development and innovation within the firm. He supports the introduction of the latest software and technological advances for clients and within the Keelings & Jones Hunt working environment.
Alf has over 20 years of accountancy and tax experience, with a widespread client portfolio, extending to sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, large international groups and professional practices.
He specialises in providing advice on a range of issues affecting the taxation of individuals, particularly members of high net worth families, including those with significant property or international interests. Over the years, Alf has developed expertise in dealing with tax investigations, disputes and brokering payment arrangements with HMRC.
With his first-hand experience in purchasing and selling businesses and his involvement in numerous property transactions, Alf is able to provide practical advice to businesses and entrepreneurs and has particular expertise in complex personal and corporation tax issues, business valuations, including the purchase and sale of businesses.
Alf enjoys being challenged by clients who want to achieve the best results, helping them to succeed by recommending the best structures to deliver their commercial and tax objectives.
Alf has 3 children and is passionate about his family, fitness and Italian football. He also finds time to help manage the family property portfolio.
